Profile
Olivieri Office was founded by Architect Davide Olivieri in 2013, after a ten-year collaboration with Guillermo Vázquez Consuegra and David Chipperfield.
The practice deals with architecture, museography and landscape, winning several international competitions. Works include cultural, educational and residential buildings, as well as re-use and renovation of existing structures.
Davide Olivieri (1976) is an Italian architect. He studied architecture at the Università degli Studi di Genova and at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Sevilla.
He has been a lecturer in design in the Catedra Blanca at the Escuela Tecnica Superior de Arquitectura in Sevilla from 2008 to 2012 and in the Master Pares at Università La Sapienza in Rome in 2014. Since 2014 he is lab-coordinator at the International Seminar of Urban Culture at the University of Camerino.
He is carrying out an international research project, in co-tutorship between the Departments of Architecture of the University of Seville and Genoa, on the line of investigation "Heritage, Rehabilitation and Obsolescence in Architecture and Urbanism".
He is interested in the re-use, especially of abandoned industrial buildings, as a strategy of regeneration of peri-urban spaces, in the conviction of the need for a bi-univocal re-signification between the city in transformation and the industrial heritage.
